Heli Blade Public Art Installation

This proposed installation reimagines decommissioned helicopter blades as sculptural landmarks that celebrate the industries and people who shaped Hinton.

The project is part of MECA’s public art efforts and is being explored with artists and community partners.

Project concept

The installation would stand at a key gateway or trailhead, transforming industrial materials into an illuminated piece of public art. Blades could be engraved with stories gathered through workshops, turning the sculpture into a living archive.
